When in Arizona, you can’t stop there, you have to get to Utah. This is where the Arches Park is, the Dead Horse park and especially the Isle in the Sky spot belonging to the huge Canyonlands park. Go to Moab, it’s an interesting town, it came out of the ground in the 50’s when miners were looking for uranium. It’s a bit sleepy in low season and a good base of operations. I still have to explore the regions further north around Salt Lake City and the Yellowstone park but that already on the top 10 of my to do list.
