Finally I managed to see this spot I was already looking up in books when I was 7 years old.
It’s a bulwark and you can’t imagine how it stretches through the mountainous area where it was built. Indeed, once you’re up there, you’ll see that the wall is actually smaller than expected. It’s about 5m large and 6-7m high at best. The towers are big but you can get up there with a ladder. For a determined army it’s possible to climb up there and overwhelm the garrison.
The wall here was in good condition and not yet renovated. Walking was easy despite the heat. But in some spots it becomes very steep, steep like a ladder and it was tough to climb up as the wall litterally follows the mountains relief.
Definitely an impressive monument even if you can’t see it from space as it is said 🙂
