Laos

One of the poorest countries in the world, Laos contrasts with its neighbour Thailand. Bad roads, poor housing conditions, corrupt police and no industry or natural resources. People barely live off the land and poverty is widely spread. Laos offers indeed very beautiful sceneries and is definitley worth the trip. Renting a bike is mandatory to get around and sightseeing. Food is also good and cheap to every extent.

The cruise on the Mekong is relaxing and while Luang Prabang is a beautiful city to visit, you’ll be entertained by the incredible views and also the people on the countryside.
