After 6 years spent with the same theme I ended up reading from Elegant Themes that they would no longer update it. In a word DeepFocus had to go sooner or later. Bad news…
I’m not really proficient with web designing stuff (while I’m pretty good at other things) but you learn every day. Hence I made my mind up and started searching a new theme. WordPress offers plenty of them and I settled for one that would refresh a bit the style of what I had without giving me too much work on moving stuff. With hundreds of galleries and 4GB of pics, you don’t take things like that on before thinking a bit.
Today on August 28, 2020 I’m almost done, still fiddling around but things are looking ok. Indeed I’m now running into another issue which is updating PHP. Out of 5.6 over to 7.2 but it’s not working. This one seems more troublesome and I’ll need help for this one I think. Posted a few messages to buddies that are proficient in that matter and we’ll see where this will take us.
In the meantime let’s say goodbye to DeepFocus, my much loved site theme (I still love it but can’t keep it for security reasons) and welcome the new one : Seek. Need to change this red color though. Haven’t found out where yet, grrrrr…
