Expo Magnum
Finally I managed to get there : The Paris Magnum Expo.
A free expo of a collection of fantastic parisian shots taken over the past 60 years, from the ‘Libération’ to recent years, all made by great photographers. The expo had a huge success and I couldn’t manage to get there until now. In the news it was said that the expo was overcrowded every day and I decided on my last day in France before leaving for the north korean tour, to get there. I did good. At 4:30pm there was no waiting line and I could enter immediately.
It’s a great set of pics I must say. Personnally I’m really attracted by the older ones, showing Paris in the 40’s & 50’s but also celebrities that are not posing but rather caught unaware. The expo was in the same hall where I visited Cartier-Bressan last year which limits the number of pictures you can show. Indeed it’s large enough to keep you busy an hour.
Of course I bought the catalogue of the expo. Bit hefty but good quality and there are some pics I definitely want to keep a copy of.
Expo is almost over now, finishing on Saturday. Better rush there if you still want to see it !
