Strange spot this abandoned fort near Versailles.
Basically it’s a remnant of the 19th century ring of forts build around Paris, this spot was still used by special forces as a training ground until recent times. but now it is completely abandoned and stands empty in the middle of the woods.
Interesting spot for exotic urban pictures I’ll try also a Light Painting session soon here. The area is clean and pretty safe. Funny things is the people you encounter here. I stumbled over a group of paintballers that were in action above the fort in a former factory that has also been left empty for years. The other end of the area has now a camp of roma people that were quite polite when I passed their camp.
Definitely a great spot with several levels and a very nice facade that’s gonna look nice on some LP pictures.
